RAMS READY TO MAKE A CHARGE
(January 21, 2014
– Victorville, California) – After eight long months of re-tooling, recruiting and preparing for the 2014 season it’s here like a breath of fresh air for the High Desert Rams. The 2014 season couldn’t get here soon enough to erase the memory of coming up short against the 2013 PAC West Champion So Cal Elite. Reflecting back on a last second 40+ yard field goal that resulted in a 23-20 defeat still leaves a poor taste in the mouths of the Rams.
It was like both teams saved their best for the last game of the year, but as mentioned it’s been a long eight months for the Rams. Moving forward, the future is bright as the Rams have revamped the organization for another run at the PAC West Championship notably, they are excited to have returning veterans Michael Hamilton to lead the offense. He welcomes back one of the most explosive wide receivers at this level of football in Donte “Pac Man” Turner and an equally explosive running back Marcell Battiest. They look forward to seeing young wideouts like Klyron Brokenbought along with newcomer Dee Terry. In 2014 Ram fans will also see the return of one of this levels most dominate offensive linemen. After sitting out the last three seasons the fire has been lit again for big man Fulu Maiava as he is set to wear #99 for the 2014 season.
On the defensive side of the ball the Rams are led by a host of vets that are ready to make a run at the 2014 PAC West Championship. Returner Burnis Collins told us that the Rams are more focused this year and ready to work as a unit to reach their goals and with the return of veteran linebacker Robert Miler and Josh “Nite Nite” Smith along with newcomers Kenny Horton and Kevin Adams coming to add to an already stacked defensive line. This should be a great year for the Rams, the defense has a saying “2014 is Championship or Bust” for them. We hope you are ready for the ride.
